The Mix Munkies started out in 2008 and quickly made their mark on the Leicester club scene. Playing almost every venue in the city within their first two years, the duo quickly mastered the art of reading the crowd and blending different styles.

They are best known for their long standing residency on Thursday nights at R/BAR, a venue with a solid reputation for house music that is often the busiest bar in town. The duo have also held residencies across the Midlands playing alongside big names such as Jack Beats, Stanton Warriors, Lisa Lashes and Danny Byrd.

Primarily their sets focus on tech/funky/jackin house but they also have a wealth of experience playing garage, drum & bass and dubstep. In 2010 the Mix Munkies remix of "Move, Shake, Drop" made its debut at number 1 in the "Passion to dance top 10" and held a top 10 position for 3 weeks on Spark 107 FM. This marked the beginning of their work as producers and they have since released around 20 remixes and bootlegs.

In 2012 the Mix Munkies will release a number of their own productions and spread out across the midlands to reach new dancefloors.
